When the players lay their cards on the table, the card values are counted and the one whose value is close to 21 has the upper hand. There is only one exception to this rule. ‘Blackjack’ is a total of two cards, i.e. an ace and any one of the cards with a value of ten. This wins over all the other cards that total 21.The cards that are numbered 2 – 10 have a value of the number printed on its face. An Ace can either be a 1 or 11 depending on the player’s choice. Jack, King, and Queen are each worth a value of 10. Each player is supposed to make a bet before the game starts. The game proceeds by the dealer giving every player two cards. He also takes two cards and one is dealt face up.
